I had some time free from the hubby and Tiny person today, so I got to work on some cards .  I decided to get a head start on some Mother’s day cards and came up with a fun one. It’s a gate fold card, using Stampin’ Up’s Soft Suede as the base.  I don’t remember what the designer paper is, but the other colors are Soft Sky and Daffodil Delight.  I used the Floral Frames Framelits Dies to make the gate and the Inside writing area.  I think next time I would do some sponging on the gate flowers and perhaps emboss the center of that flower in gold or early espresso.  I’m just not fully happy yet.  The sentiment is from the  Delightful Dozen set.

Since this is a square card, I’ll have to use the envelope punch board to make an envelope for it and i’ll probably cost a little more to send, but I think it’s worth it.  Had a great time making it and I’m going to have to make some more.

I also decided I was happy enough with it that I’m enter it in the CAS Colours and Sketches Sketh hallenge #61.  I like the input I get on the cards, especially if there are tips or tricks I could have, should have, or might have used that I didm;t think of or don’t know.

Have a great day and happy stamping!
