Apparently I was on a roll tonight. I made this great, simple looking Congratulations card. I was trying to figure out what I could do for the angle lines, that wasn’t ribbon. Then I remembered I got a stamp in my Paper Pumpkin that was a great set of arrows. Love the polymer. I still need to work on getting a closer aim on the lineup, but for a quick congrats card not too shabby.
I think for the heck of it I’ll enter it over at Freshly Made Sketches. I tried one that had different colors for the lines, but I just couldn’t get into it. The color changes seemed way to abrupt. I probably could have used stamping off to get a gradation of the lines, but that actually wasn’t something I thought about until just now. At one point I thought maybe it was too plain, so I added some sequins to it randomly. It added some shiny, but really didn’t do anything for the overall card and well they looked tacked on. I’ll take a picture later so you can see what I mean. I guess simple is the best.
I like all the base ideas these sites give. Hope you have a great night and happy crafting!
The arrows worked great for the stripes! Thanks for joining us at FMS!
