I’ve made the foray into the realms of happy little cordials.  It seems a rather straight forward process, so I’m hopeful that it will work out a bit better than my first attempts at sodas.  I’ve started out with some rather simple ones:

  • Banana
  • Lime
  • Hazelnut

The Hazelnut one was kind of a cop out.  It’s was a “Quick and Easy” recipe which consisted of Vodka, Brandy, Hazelnut syrup, vanilla and Simple Syrup.  It could have been enjoyed right then, but supposedly it’s better after aging a month.  Which I believe.  The best Liqueur I ever had was some really old Butterscotch.  Sooooo mellow and delicious.  Anyway the recipes make between 1 and 2 quarts.  I have my fingers crossed!
